Installation

Download Glade for macOS, Windows or Linux, or install it with Homebrew. Free, open source and ready in about a minute.

Glade is a free, MIT-licensed desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, with no account of its own. Pick your platform; each button downloads the latest release.

Latest: v0.3.0All releases on GitHub

Install

Open the DMG and drag Glade into Applications. Or install it with Homebrew:

brew install --cask berkinory/brew/glade

Run the installer.

Make the AppImage executable and run it:

chmod +x Glade-*.AppImage
./Glade-*.AppImage

Bring an agent

Glade runs the agent CLIs on your machine, so install and sign in to at least one before your first chat. Each keeps its own account, plan and limits.

First launch

A short setup walks you through four steps. You can change every choice later in Settings.

Welcome

Pick a light, dark or system appearance.

Agents

See which agent CLIs Glade found, and whether they’re signed in.

Permissions

Decide whether agents may use Computer Use, and whether Glade keeps your Mac awake while they work.

First project

Add a folder to work in, or skip it and just chat.

Updates

Glade checks GitHub Releases and tells you when a new version is ready to install. The changelog lists what changed in each one.
