Glade v0.3.3

Overview of Glade 0.3.3

Downloads

0.3.3 - 2026-10-20

New

  • Video and audio files an agent shows you play right in the chat, loading only when you scroll near them and playing one at a time. (9fbaacb12)
  • Typing words into the address bar of Glade’s browser searches Google instead of trying to open them as an address. (161680e32, 5e40d7f43)
  • Press Esc twice to stop a running reply. (54ea62407)

Improved

  • Long chats stay smooth while replies stream and while you type, and live timers and status updates redraw only what changed. (2e9954206, afe91f680, 64a4a1d20, f8a812607, 935b7d830, db6269876, 9e4f2028a, 0b2119de6, a5bffc958, 424537ffb, fbf081396, 5b242484f)
  • Git work is faster, most of all on Windows: new worktrees, status, diffs, branch lists, commits and branch switches repeat far less work. (271fb84a0, 1d25ebd22, 4aeb9e7f0, defb4d271, 0c96efa91, 672ef65cd, 22f757c99)
  • Team chats report to their Lead as compact rows you can expand or open instead of as messages from you. Reports arrive together once the Lead is free, the Lead stays quiet while its team is still working, and team chats no longer play sounds or notifications of their own. (299add10e, 778fad605, 616cbca75)
  • A Lead can start team chats in any folder you name, in their own worktree or right in your project when you ask, and tidies its team by archiving chats that are done or stale. (92ae90fc0, 9a2e232ee, a57287f53)
  • A Lead’s side panel shows the Lead, a Rules button, pinned messages, its team, and its own subagents and background tasks. Its conversation can’t be rewound or forked, since its team’s work would stay as it is. (81a9c4037, c80b3b56a, 92cddf2c0, c9ca62103, 743ca78db)
  • A chat that loses its provider connection picks up where it left off, with one quiet line in place of an error and a message you didn’t write. (59b1025af)
  • Replies read more cleanly: back-to-back thinking shows as one row, Fork appears once per exchange instead of after every background turn, and code further down is highlighted before you scroll to it. (dd0acf0b8, 5a3d7513b, 3669d0341)
  • Choosing how often an automation repeats is simpler: pick minutes or hours, then the interval. (c2dd1f9ba)
  • Codex file-change approvals list the files they will change, and provider usage shows Codex Enterprise and Claude monthly limits as bars. (08c88ea0c, bebbe30e4, 06bf87c1e)
  • Pasting a copied folder into the message box adds it as a workspace reference. (6ba3b56ea)
  • Generated pull request descriptions draw on what was discussed in the chat. (659249fa6)

Fixed

  • Read chats stay read after restarting Glade, and spaces no longer show an unread dot for subagents or archived chats. (5b761f9aa, 0f6dce1e8)
  • The line saying a chat is waiting on background work now matches what is really running, including subagents started in earlier turns. (5dd537e3b, d2941a342)
  • Files open and change reliably: files outside the project open read-only, subfolder projects stage, discard and open the files you picked, and renamed files are staged and committed as renames. (ea3e75cb6, f61effc83, 80806f6a2, f3c21cdd8, df08d89c1, b60bca356)
  • Editing an earlier message works in chats without a Git folder, and reviewing a turn’s changes no longer gets stuck after an interrupted turn. (75d9f691c, 0957d7370)
  • Commit messages and branch names are written by an agent you have set up, no longer sign you out of Codex, and explain failures with a way to write the message yourself. (b047fb5f9, 94c0fdcaa, 3ff8d4686)
  • Closing a tab in Glade’s browser no longer shows an error dialog, and unexpected background errors appear as a notice you can dismiss. (25f98937c, 14b683afd)
  • Terminals no longer inherit the tmux, screen or Zellij session Glade started from, stay closed if you closed them while disconnected, come back clean after a crashed program, open right away with fish, and keep log routes and non-English paths from turning into broken links. (be6a1e56a, 8bd727e6b, 5cc31c686, 84608f9f7, 7427ec4d2, da9ee92f4, 63c54afb9)
  • The message box only turns real skills, commands and existing files into chips, so text like $HOME, @param or a stale suggestion stays plain and the cursor stays put, pasted links keep exactly what you pasted, and the up arrow skips messages you didn’t write. (a354fbfde, 17733a213, a87e93723, cc7a6c7c5, c120e589f, 6b9c86725)
  • Agent chats are steadier: Codex waits out rate limits and shows your configured speed, Claude shows its real API errors, accepts questions with blank options and runs your own skills, OpenCode, Grok and Cursor keep Glade’s instructions after compacting and show their tool results, and thread errors sent as JSON read as plain messages. (8802020f3, 7e2151aad, 4190a9d7e, dd8c9190f, b7ae7075a, dde5cba48, 4c9ce89cb, 5a1ccd7ac, 0162d18da, 215ef1528, 7b2586194)
  • Updating an agent installed with pnpm or Homebrew installs the version that package manager offers, and a disabled update button says why. (feb2cd677, f7ff9146d, 2d4652e92)
  • Windows: checkpoints work in long paths and copied paths use backslashes. (9f21da2b3, ee5930b56, 7ddef994d, ca9eca20f, 0f9035fe9)
  • Input methods, keyboard focus, screen readers and Reduce Motion are handled better across the app. (099a9da15, 68fb7141a, 74845a3db, 369398e4a, ee5930b56, 7ddef994d, ca9eca20f, 0f9035fe9)
  • Glade starts and connects more reliably on networks with IPv6 off or broken and with slow login shells. (98e9f81c4, c67c3f223, 3b8171e3f, d0bb1e270)
  • SSH host suggestions read your ssh config the way OpenSSH does, and files opened on an SSH host in VS Code or Cursor open as files. (b7f905654, f655dd6cb)
  • Worktree cleanup handles submodules and Windows junctions, partial clones and project folders their repository ignores work, pull request details load despite reviewer restrictions, and settings changed while Glade connects are kept. (056f32292, 06f39d570, 74339f444, b1a080688, cb5df4df5, b722d7638, 79ab7252c)
  • The message trail beside long chats no longer slows down or keeps stale highlights. (14ec005fd)

Security

  • Full access respects Claude settings and organization policies that turn off bypass permissions: Glade asks for approval instead and says why. (77c9ae09a)
  • Worktree chats no longer push their branch to your remote when they name it; a branch is published only when you push it or open a pull request. (870199783)
